The World Youth Forum (WYF), organised by The Centre for Diplomatic Advancement, stands as a premier international platform designed to unite a diverse group of students, healthcare professionals, lawyers, young leaders, and activists from around the world. This prestigious event aims to foster in-depth discussions on pressing global issues, enhance leadership abilities, and promote international collaboration. Additionally, attendees will receive training in intercultural communication, negotiation, public speaking, and leadership development, leaving with enhanced skills, a broader global perspective, and a network of like-minded peers. The WYF also offers substantial scholarships, making it accessible to deserving individuals regardless of financial limitations.

Any national can apply. There are no restrictions.

The World Youth Forum 2024 will take place from December 20th to 23rd in the picturesque city of Porto, Portugal.

The main activities of the World Youth Forum include:

1. Engaging Workshops: Interactive sessions that provide hands-on learning experiences and skill development.
2. Keynote Speeches: Inspirational talks by distinguished speakers addressing pressing global issues.
3. Cultural Immersion Experiences: Activities designed to immerse participants in the local culture of Porto, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity.
4. Networking Opportunities: Events and sessions that facilitate connections among participants, enabling them to build a global network of like-minded peers.
5. Training Sessions: Focused on enhancing skills in intercultural communication, negotiation, public speaking, and leadership development.

Currently, there are only three categories available. 

1. Fully Funded, Partial or Forum Access:

There are three types of scholarships available for the World Youth Forum 2024:

Fully Funded Seats: 50 scholarships that cover air travel, accommodation, conference meals, and merchandise.

Partially Funded Seats: 100 scholarships that provide partial financial support for attending the forum like accommodation, meals, and forum merchandise. 

Forum Access Only: 100 scholarships that offer access to the forum but do not cover additional expenses like travel and accommodation.

Applicants must submit their application for the Fully Funded category to be considered for any of these scholarships.

2. Self Funded

As a self funded attendee of  the World Youth Forum 2024, you will have  program-related expenses covered for the duration of the conference. This includes  exclusive invitation letters, accommodation, meals, forum access, and forum merchandise. Your confirmation is immediate upon paying the dues. 

3. Invitation Letter
You can request your Invitation Letter through our website, and later upgrade it to the self-funded category. When upgrading the category, the amount you have paid for the Invitation Letter category will be deducted from the total of the Self Funded fee.

CDA have announced 50 Fully Funded Scholarships for the interested candidates. In order to avail them, interested candidates will have to apply on our website.

In order to limit the influx of serious applications only, CDA charges a nominal fee of $16.50.

1. Age: Be between 16 and 50 years old.
2. Commitment: Exhibit a strong commitment to community service or activism.
3. Interests: Have a keen interest in volunteerism, community service, international relations, diplomacy, or educational fields.
4. Leadership: Demonstrate leadership potential and the ability to collaborate effectively in diverse groups.

The forum welcomes applications from a broad audience, including students, mid-career professionals, healthcare workers, lawyers, volunteers, and human rights activists who are passionate about global issues and eager to drive positive change in their communities and beyond.

No, purchasing an Invitation Letter for the World Youth Forum does not include processing your visa application. While the Invitation Letter can support your visa application by serving as proof of your intent to attend the forum, you are responsible for completing the visa application process with the relevant authorities in your country. You will need to submit the necessary documents, pay any applicable fees, and follow the procedures required by the embassy or consulate handling your visa request.

The World Youth Forum is open to applicants between the ages of 16 and 50. However, exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Participants are expected to attend and actively engage in the entire duration of the World Youth Forum for the optimal learning experience.

Yes, participants who successfully complete the World Youth Forum will receive a certificate of participation.

Yes, the forum provides ample networking opportunities to connect and collaborate with forum participants, mentors, and industry professionals.

Yes, you can bring them but they will have to register separately as a self funded delegate on our website.

The forum is designed as an in-person program, and therefore remote or online participation is not available.
