Four days in Brussels where ninety-five young leaders from seventy countries stepped inside the institutions that shape the world and left ready to shape it themselves.
Event Overview
Aligned with the United Nations Youth2030 Strategy and the Sustainable Development Goals, the World Youth Forum 2024 was designed as a platform to equip emerging leaders with the diplomatic skills, global networks, and policy literacy needed to drive change in their own communities.
Held from November 14-17 in Brussels, WYF 2024 convened 95 delegates from over 70 countries for four days of policy dialogue, institutional study visits, skill-building workshops, and cultural exchange, turning individual ambition into collective global action.
Day-by-Day Report
Each program day moved delegates from arrival and orientation into institutional learning, policy practice, cultural exchange, and graduation.
Delegates arrived to collect official merchandise and credentials before breaking into networking icebreakers that introduced the cultures and causes in the room. The evening opened formally with a keynote from the CDA Secretariat framing the Forum’s mission, followed by a welcome dinner.
A day of direct institutional access balanced legislative learning with collective security, giving delegates a practical view of how international cooperation works inside Brussels.
The Forum’s centerpiece opened with a high-level panel across four themes, followed by hands-on masterclasses and Youth Delegate Statements where participants took the floor to share their own journeys.
The winning Impact Grant project received its $1,000 seed award. The Forum closed with cultural performances celebrating the diversity of the room, certificate distribution, and a final group photograph capturing a community that arrived as strangers and left as a network.
Impact & Achievements
The forum combined access, policy learning, peer exchange, and project development into a measurable international youth leadership experience.
